School Safety Context Analysis (SSCA) is intended to be used as a factual starting point for programmatic interventions, providing a baseline to identify existing gaps and define institutional policies, action plans, or protocols that require development or strengthening in the domain of the protection of children from violence and other hazards in and around schools, thereby helping SCNWB to establish specific project targets and identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
SSCA will serve as a base for the implementation of the project THRIVE - Targeting Hazards and Reducing Incidents of Violence in Education, through which SCNWB intends to advocate and support the education system to effectively improve safety and promote the prevention of violence and other hazards in and around schools.

Under the sponsorship of SCNWB, the Consultant is commissioned to undertake a Sustainability Assessment aimed at guiding the design and subsequent execution of the BRIDGES program interventions. These interventions will bolster the sustainability of partner organizations, thereby ensuring the continuity of quality service provision for children and youth in designated locations within Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The assessment is structured to encapsulate a thorough analysis of the existing Partners' Sustainability Strategies and Action Plans, evaluating their capacities for effective implementation and identifying areas that require enhancement

U svjetlu nedavnih tragičnih događaja u regionu koji su rezultirali sigurnosnim izazovima za učenike ulaskom u novu školsku godinu, Save the Children za sjeverozapadni Balkan naglašava potrebu za garantovanom bezbjednošću svakog učenika i učenice. Save the Children podržava sve konkretne inicijative koje će nadležne institucije u Bosni i Hercegovini poduzeti kako bi osigurale zaštitu i dobrobit svakog svih učenika. Ističemo značaj preventivnih mjera i aktivnosti usmjerenih na razvoj i jačanje socijalnih i komunikacijskih vještina učenika kako bi se spriječili ali i prepoznali neprihvatljivi oblici ponašanja. Zalažemo se za veću prisutnost i angažman školskih psihologa, pedagoga i socijalnih radnika koji će zajedno sa nastavnim osobljem i roditeljima odgovoriti na znakove upozorenja o potencijalnom nasilju te preventivno djelovati protiv potencijalnih prijetnji.
